The type of information

We need your name and contact details, date of birth, relevant health information and next of kin details.

If you make an online payment your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors (Barclaycard & Paypal) who specialise in the secure online transactions.

  • Contact you with regards to your booking
  • Contact your next of kin in the event of an emergency
  • Process a booking you have made
  • Process a donation you have made
  • Let you know about related products and services
  • For RYA in respect of PB2 and VHF certificate registration

We are required to keep a record of who visited us and when.  This data is stored electronically.

 

How long do we keep your information?

Booking and contact us details are held on our website and email system. Paper copies of bookings used in the office are shredded one week after the activity has taken place.

 

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We will only disclose your information to third parties where we are required to do so by law.

 

Third party providers working on our behalf:

We may pass your information to our third party service providers, sub-contractors and sports governing bodies (RYA)  for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (e.g. to process payments and deliver some courses (e.g. VHF, Power boat 2). However, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service.

 

 

 

Payment data collected from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who are engaged in the processing of your payment details. Where we store your personal data

Your personal data is stored on our website back office, in emails and in the case of bookings, will be printed out and kept securely on file in our office.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.
