Kids’ Splash Fun

Expect to get wet!

Kids’ Splash is one of our most popular activities, and fills up fast and early! Booking is online only.

A Splash session is two hours of fun, games, races and teaching technique on paddleboards and/or kayaks. The instructor chooses the craft based on the conditions, and we limit numbers to a 6:1 ratio of kids to instructors to make everything safe and manageable. If there is enough demand we may have up to 12 kids on the water at once!

This is an ideal way to introduce kids to activities on the water; we take beginners to experts, and they all have great fun! They should be relatively confident in the water, but will be carefully supervised and wearing buoyancy aids and wetsuits, sometimes helmets depending on the games planned.

We paddle out from Pen Polion (the small pier) and into the safe, sheltered curve of Traeth Gwyn to play. Games include the use of floaty toys, balls, sponges to throw, rafting up and much more. Where possible, an assistant is on hand to help those who have less paddle experience.

We run sessions every Sunday morning 10am – 12pm from Easter to the school half term in October. Depending on demand we also run Splash sessions during the week in the holidays, so keep an eye out for those. If you would like a session at another time/date for a group, please email us.

Arrive by 09:45 at the latest so your child/ren can be dressed and ready for a 10am start.

Cancellation: The instructor in charge will liaise with the person in charge of the Centre that day and make any decision about cancelling sessions if the weather is not suitable. (We do not cancel for rain – they’re gonna get wet anyway!) We will always endeavour to inform customers prior to the day where possible, and provide refunds/rearrangement as far as possible.
