Sailing
Learn and have fun with the ExpertsSailing is a huge amount of fun for all ages and abilities. You don't need to be super fit or a great swimmer, just confident in the water and keen to give it a go. For an introduction to sailing, a fun trip or to decide if you want to take sailing further, a two-hour taster lesson is ideal. You will have a joyride with one of our fully-qualified instructors who will also let you have a go at some ropes and manning the tiller. Our two-day Royal Yachting Association certified training will give you the best start in sailing. Adults courses run from Level 1-3, and kids (8+) take Stage 1-4. We also run women-only sailing courses which have been a huge success. And for those who are more experienced, we can help you improve your skills and confidence with our regular Saturday Sailing club, which is very popular locally. If you want to go even further, we can help with race training, further seamanship skills and spinnakers – just get in touch. We have a range of boats: Toppers, Picos, and Lasers for single-handed sailing, a Feva, Laser 2000s, two Bahias and a Hawk 20 keelboat. We also have all the equipment you’ll need, from wetsuits to safety gear. We run regular RYA (Royal Yachting Association) courses throughout the season (Easter until about September). To see the latest syllabus for a course, head to the RYA website.
