Windsurfing
We have the perfect location to learn or improve your windsurfing; New Quay’s harbour wall and the tucked-in position of the bay ensure shelter from most weathers – but we get plenty of wind!
Windsurfing is easy to get started with, but harder to master. A two-hour taster session is the perfect way to get the basics under your belt and see if you like it. We reckon you will!
All windsurfing sessions start with some on-land theory and a turn on the ‘spinny sim’ simulator to get you used to how to get the sail up and what to do to turn. Then we take you out on the water – sometimes with a line attached, sometimes further out with a safety boat for the instructor. Most students can sail across the wind and turn by the end of the lesson.
If you have some experience, you can come to our super-popular Saturday Windsurfing session in the afternoons. Two hours afloat with an instructor for a bargain price. We have a max number of six students to each instructor.
We also offer the official RYA two-day Windsurfing Level 1 course, and we have boards and sails to hire – contact us about these so we can sort it out for you.
