Payment

Bookings are not confirmed until full payment is made.

Courses need to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance or at the discretion of the Centre manager.

Equipment for hire will be only be reserved if prior payment is made.

Card Payment may be made, by telephone, on line via the website or at the centre. 

Cheques should be made payable to Cardigan Bay Watersports.

BAC's payments, email us and we will send you our account details.

Cancellation by client

If you wish to cancel less than 2 weeks before then 80% of your course fee will be forfeit.

You may transfer 2 weeks before, subject to availability and a 10% administration fee.

Cancellation by Cardigan Bay Watersports

We reserve the right to cancel a course if viable numbers are not achieved or if we feel that there are unmanageable risks.

If we cancel, we will offer either, a full refund, an alternative course, an alternative date or dates. 

Cardigan Bay Watersports liability does not extend beyond points above.

Physical Fitness

Participants must be confident in the water. 

You must advise on the booking form of any illness or medical disability.  If you suffer from asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, giddy spells, angina, or other heart conditions, you should check with your doctor before making a booking and be in a position to produce a note from your doctor if required.  Failure to disclose medical conditions will absolve Cardigan Bay Watersports of any liability.

Age Limits

A minimum age of 8 years old for activities, excepting powerboat courses, the minimum age is 12 years.

For hire sessions, participants aged 8-12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Under 18's to have booking form signed by parent or guardian.

Safety

Watersports and adventure activities are hazardous by their nature.

Participants, parents or guardians accept that there are risks, bumps and scrapes may happen during fast moving activities.

We only employ qualified experienced staff.

We provide a range of quality personal protective and safety equipment for participants’ comfort and safety

We teach to national governing body recommendations and guidelines.

We have robust management and safety systems, which have been inspected by approved bodies such as AALA and RYA.

We reserve the right to modify or cancel an activity if we feel that there are unmanageable risks.

Insurance

Personal insurance is not included in the course fee.   

CBW cannot accept responsibility for personal items left in the Centre.

Photographs or Videos of activities may be taken for use in publicising CBW.

CEREDIGION MARINE CONSERVATION CODE OF CONDUCT

Boats

Please operate all boats for the safety of occupants and respect for all other sea users.

Dolphins/Porpoises/Seals

If these marine mammals are encountered at sea please:
Maintain a steady speed and course, or slow down gradually.
Do not steer towards them or approach within 100m.
Do not chase, manoeuvre erratically, turn towards or attempt to touch them.
Take extra care to avoid dolphins with their young.
Please do not attempt to swim with marine mammals.
Do not approach seals or their pups on the beach.
Control dogs and keep them away.

Deliberate or reckless disturbance of any protected species such as dolphins is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and the Countryside Rights of Way Act 2000.

Birds

Keep 100m out of cliffs in the breeding season, 1 March – 31 July.
Please keep clear of rafts of birds nesting or feeding on the sea.
Avoid any unnecessary noise close to cliffs.
