Watersports Equipment Policy
CBW owns various watersports equipment including but not limited to: powerboats, keelboat, sailing dinghies, windsurf boards, wings, paddleboards, sit-on top kayaks etc.
Staff should the equipment with care and encourage students and customers to do likewise.
Every item needs to be visually checked every time it is issued and returned.
Damaged or failed items should be quarantined out of service using the red and white striped tape which is available as self-adhesive or tie on. It should then be reported: write the details on the whiteboard Faults Grid, fill in the equipment log book in the Centre and notify the Centre Manager.
When equipment has been repaired/replaced, this should be noted in the log book and taken off the grid on the whiteboard.

Engines
CBW’s marine agent maintains a list of the engines, their serial numbers and run time. All the engines are serviced and winterised in line with the manufacturers’ guidelines.
