Personal Protective Equipment policy
Buoyancy aids (or lifejackets for powerboating) *
Every item needs to be visually checked every time it is issued and returned.
Will be hygiene cleaned after every use, then overnight in the drying room.
Damaged or failed items should be quarantined out of service using the red and white striped tape which is available as self-adhesive or tie on. Then reported using the equipment log book in the centre and to the centre manager.
* Annual tested, buoyancy aids in house, lifejackets externally
