COVID 19 Policy (28th February 2021)

Customers or staff who:

Are displaying symptoms or
Have been in contact with someone displaying symptoms or
Have tested positive

Will not be permitted to take part in any activity and will be required to return home.

Customers will be asked on arrival if they are displaying symptoms.

Customers and staff at higher risk will be recommended to stay away.

No customer toilets, changing, shower facilities or secure storage.

Staff / Customer / Member of the Public in need of First Aid – See First Aid Policy

General working policy

Shift work in cohorts (1 x admin, 1 x runner, 1 x safety boat).

Instructors work to NGB current guidelines (Covid 19).

All to arrive at work dressed ready, no staff changing facility.

All to bring own drinks / food.  No facility at centre.

Maintain social distancing with staff, customers and public.

Use face covering if 2 metre distancing is compromised.

Frequent washing of hands and/or use of hand sanitiser.

Minimal facial contact.

Staff briefing/s to be held outside.

Minimal job-sharing during shift (i.e. only administrator uses desk, PC etc.).

VHF radios, clean before/after use using wipes.

Timesheets to be submitted online or by text to Centre Manager.

 

Administration

Wipe down surfaces and desk equipment at start of shift.

Customer online booking for all activities.

Maximum of 12 hire customers in any one-hour time slot.

Booking additions or alterations to be made by phone (card payment / refund)

No cash payments.

Customer to self-serve for buoyancy aids

Customer to self-serve for wet suits etc if NGB permit activity.

Maintain social distancing when assisting customers.

Use face covering if 2 metre distancing is compromised.

Buoyancy aids, wet suits etc. to be hygiene cleaned between users.

 

Runner - Person in charge (and assistant)

Runner - hand sanitise before handling cleaned equipment.

Maintain social distancing when assisting customers.

Use face covering if 2 metre distancing is compromised.

Move SUPs & kayaks close to the water at the start of a shift.

Customer to self-serve paddles – cleaning facility to be supplied by CBW.

Clean kayaks and paddleboards between users and at end of day.

 

Safety boat

Clean boat and equipment at the start of shift.

Use face covering if 2 metre distancing is compromised.

Be proactive. 

Keep Base informed of any problems

 

Instructor (and assistant)

Comply with NGB guidelines for distancing, hygiene etc.

Use face covering if 2 metre distancing is compromised.

Equipment not to be shared, Single handed dinghies only to be used.
