Surfing is a vigorous cardiovascular workout, helping to improve your overall health condition and protect your heart. Surfing can help to improve your balance, flexibility and stamina, while the mental health benefits of surfing include feeling happier, more energetic, and more mindful and relaxed.

Here in New  Quay, Wales we do have some days suitable for surfing in the bay so it is on these days we can offer to hire you a board or book your taster session or lesson.

Surfing taster session

This 30 minute taster session is to give you a few hints and tips on the basics.

We have a few dates in the diary however if you can't make those we could plan around your timetable, our instructors' availability and most importantly the sea state.

Surfing lesson

In this 1 hour session you will learn about hazards and equipment as well as get taken through and be given time to practice posture, balance, technique and turns.

You might have done a taster before or be a complete beginner so we can pitch the lesson according to your ability.

Specific dates are available for you to book, however if these do not fit with your trip, call us to see if another suitable date can be found.

Surfing improver

During this 1 hour session we can plan on whatever it is you want to work on or need some help with.

We will need a chat with you so we can agree what it is you want to do.  We can use your kit or ours.

The session will most likely be one on one with your instructor who will coach you on your technique and skill. 

The instructor may well use a video camera so you can review your progress back on the land.
