Cardigan Bay Watersports News New Boats for 2008 Now in our sixth year of operation we are able to offer a new experience in our Laser Bahia sailing dinghies Thank you to all who suppoted us in 2007 and we look forward to another great season of activies on the water. Our two new laser Bahia dinghies have been designed to offer something for all the family, as they are suitable for beginners whilst offering that bit extra for the more experienced wishing to progress to spinnaker sailing or using the trapeze. With an overall length of 4.6 metres and an uncluttered cockpit, there is ample room for up to four adults, these are ideal boats in which to experience the thrill of asymmetric sailing and in which to develope new skills. To enable as wide a range of people as possilble to experience the new boats we have introduced some new activities and courses, including:a half hour joyride; hour and a half taster sessions, and 'improve your skills' lessons; performance sailing; sailing with spinnakers; advanced sailing; one to one tuition; and of course hire.
Navigation A new RYA shorebased course in Basic navigation and safety has been launched. Designed for anyone new to boating; sailors, powerboaters, sea anglers,divers and boatmasters it is also useful for experienced dinghy and keelboat sailorsand inshore racers. We are working with Cardigan Bay Sea School to make this course available, so if you are interested in participating please call and talik to Ceri. National Windsurfing Week - May 3rd to 11th 2008 We shall be participating in this national event, with special activities during the week, so this will be a good time to come along and have a go if you think this might be for you.
Ladies and Juniors We
are planning a series of ladies only sessions for 2008 in windsurfing,
sailing and kayaking as well as a repeat of our popular Junior Regatta
